State Institution "Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" - a specialized institution within the structure of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, whose activity is aimed at carrying out research in the field of pharmacology, medicinal toxicology and medicinal chemistry with the aim of developing and improving medicinal products and medical technologies of pharmacotherapy.
The main areas of scientific activity of the Institute are:
- directed search for potential means of pharmacological correction of inflammation and treatment of oncological and infectious diseases.
- experimental substantiation of optimization of schemes and methods of pharmacotherapy of common diseases, including comorbid pathology.
- search for new ways of pharmacocorrection of pathological conditions associated with adverse reactions to drugs, based on the study of the mechanisms of action of drugs of different classes.
- research in the field of nanopharmacology and pharmaceutical chemistry.
The areas of implementation of the results correspond to the professional competence of the Institute and relate to the pharmacological, toxicological and pharmaceutical aspects of the preclinical studying of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms.
